What I’ve learned about getting older is that the privilege of feeling things organically is pushed to the bottom of the priority list.
Budgeting is most important.
It’s crucial to start viewing people in terms of how much of their storm you are willing to weather.
You have to balance how much you can feel for them.
It is important to constantly check in on yourself to make sure that the correct amount of memories are being stored.
Decide what you’ll do if they stay or go.
Sometimes being an adult means choosing to spend it all on one person.
But most of the time it is the sad task of looking into familiar eyes and sayingWe’ve spent so much time together
And I’m sorry but I can’t afford to remember.
